Ableton Live 8新增功能

New groove engine (新增的Groove引擎)
Groove的樂句可以在加入sequence時增加life 以及 swing的表現. Live 8新增的groove引擎讓你可以即時的使用來自audio或是Midi的groove樂句，也可以從audio 或是 MIDI 的來源裡擷取groove, 即時的量化audio 以及 MIDI。 同時內建新的groove 資料庫.

New warping engine(新增的warping引擎)
Live 8 介紹一種更新更直接的方法讓你來使用warp，並且強化了某些重要的模式，  現在你可以在timeline上直接調整物件(event)本身來warp聲音的資料. Beats Mode已經升級, 現在還有一個全新的Complex Warp模式. 你也可以把聲音檔的暫態直接切進Midi軌裡面來用.

Looper(迴圈器)
這是很多人都要求增加的新功能, Ableton Looper 效果讓你的聲音loop突破硬體設備的限制. Looper 設定以遙控來控制，所以你可以不需要碰到電腦也能控制錄音、疊入、取消..等功能.

New effects(新增效果)
Live 8 包含有五組很夠力的新效果: Vocoder, Multiband Dynamics多段式動態處理, Overdrive過載失真, Limiter限制器 以及 Frequency Shifter頻率偏移效果. 這些有名的效果除了保有他們原來的功能, 也同時透過Ableton實驗室增加並強化了許多嶄新的特性.

Workflow enhancements(工作流程的強化)
Version 8 新增加了一連串大家想要的功能而使得 Live更容易上手，新增的功能包含在編曲視窗內可以使用即時crossfades 、強化的MIDI 編輯, 群組軌道, 螢幕放大鏡..等功能.

Operator, Ableton's renowned do-it-all synthesizer, has been given a major overhaul. We opened up the hood, took a long hard look inside and did some serious hot-rod stuff. New filter types, more modulation routing options and additive wavetable synthesis with drawable partials make Operator more powerful and flexible than ever.
