Sonic Foundry Releases CD Architect 5.0
Company re-engineers and launches professional Red Book audio CD burning application

December 10, 2002 -- Sonic Foundry 釋出CD mastering 以及燒錄應用軟體---CD Architect. Version 5.0，被重新設計成一組 獨立的應用程式，並且提供內容豐富的CD母帶處理功能，並且可以製作Red Book CD pre-masters 。
CD Architect 使用disk-at-once燒錄技術(DAO) that lets users create CDs with variable times between tracks(具備分次燒錄功能)and provides the ability to create overlapping crossfades between audio events.(具備交叉淡化能力) Users can arrange projects with an intuitive drag-and-drop Windows interface(拖拉式視窗介面), select from multiple takes within each audio event, create live style CDs with audio between tracks, and even place hidden tracks on the CD.
In compliance with Red Book Audio CD standards, CD Architect allows for up to 99 tracks to be written on each disk. Track list information can be exported out of the program for printing or sending to a replication house. Users can add Industry Standard Recording Codes (ISRC), Universal Product Codes (UPC) or Media Catalog Numbers (MCN).
PQ lists can be edited, including track times, sub-indices and copy-inhibit or pre-emphasis flags. CD Architect provides verification of the project against the Red Book Standard before creating a disk and allows test burns to take place -- eliminating the possibility of producing unusable media. In addition, users can include various processes and effects on a track or at the project level by applying any of the included 20 real-time DirectX audio plug-ins.
