Marc Collis has always been ready to impress. 
"I discovered music when I was about six" explains Marc,"I swapped from piano to guitar because my music teacher had one and I asked if I could take it home for the weekend. I started singing and writing my own songs right away." Marc had a special reason to turn to music. He's confined to a wheelchair. His rock group Plunja gained an international record contract with Roadrunner and became WhiteRoom. Now, still ready to impress, he's going it alone.

Katie Weston
This Is What I Really Want

Well known as the rock chic in front of dynamic cover band Stellar, Katie Weston has also been recording her own original songs since the age of 13.
In 2005 the band started to apply their four gigs a week experience to Katie's songs. Having also studied and professionally worked in acting, musical theatre and film production, Weston has a world of experience behind her. Just listen and you know that 'This Is What She really Wants'.

Shane Price
A Break In The Weather

Originally from Shepparton in rural Victoria Shane Price is currently studying at Perth based music theatre course and flew to Melbourne especially to record 'A Break In The Weather'. He's been writing and collaborating on songs for many years and before his studies in Perth was lead singer of a band. 
"All my lyrics mean something", he points out. 
"I always write from experience." He hates singers who don't know what it is they're singing about.

Boyracer 
Baby I'm Yours

Boyracer have been performing pop music together for most of their young lives. Under the name "Boyz" the trio's first public appearance was at the tender age of 8. Seven years later - still aged just 15 to 18 - they've matured into the hot pop/rock outfit you hear on 'Baby I'm Yours'. The maturity shows, but so does their youthful appeal. Just ask their legion of female fans!

Formed in 2003 The Rhythm Hounds comprises MC's Joshie Lovett and Ammon Griffiths with turntablist Trav Hintz on stage, and David J. Connor behind the scenes producing some of the beats. Lots of fun on stage, they've attracted the help and support of Melbourne's top hip-hop crew TZU.

O'Connell Sisters
To Be Together

Twins, Ashley and Claire O'Connell have sung together all their lives and have been writing great songs since high school. Both have outstanding but very different voices that work uniquely together to form their own distinct sound. Ashley has a classic strong country voice whereas Claire has very much an R&B flavour that blends into their modern cross-over country songs in a way that sets them apart in this hugely popular international market.

Kilburn
One Way Getaway

Friends from school, Kilburn was formed in early 2005, and the next year recorded a four track EP in a home studio set-up in singer/guitarist Sam Schimer's sister's bedroom. Involvement in the Kool Skools program enabled the pop/rock band to work in a 'real' studio on songs towards a debut album. At the 2006 Kool Skools Awards night Kilburn was chosen to open the night's proceedings and took away two of the night's top awards.

Sascha is 18. "I love life and I love making everything a little sexy." She says that her song 'Want You To Want Me' is a coming of age song, about that point in life when you start thinking about other things. Sascha loves pop music because it brings out her Spanish background. Her ambitions in music are simple. "I want to take on the world".

White Summer are the fresh new trio that has been tearing up venues over the past 12 months. With a strong following in local Melbourne which has grown greatly since their humble beginnings on Phillip Island, this blues rock trio is set to blow you away with their explosive, blues drenched guitar sounds and stomping drums. Driven by thumping bass and strong, poised vocals, this band must not be missed.

Nyssa Bradsworth
Hard

A singer/songwriter in the tradition of Sarah Blasko and Missy Higgins, Nyssa Bradsworth began performing at the age of 12 and has now been writing and performing for over 10 years. In 2003, Nyssa relocated from Bairnsdale to Melbourne, where she completed a Diploma of Music at Box Hill College of Music. "Music has always been in my blood. When I was still in nappies, I was listening to Sting, The Beatles, Dire Straits, Bob Dylan and Joan Baez. 
As I grew, my passion grew, and here I am today, workin' my little butt off, and loving every minute!"

Someone Sued Superman

Tom Parisi started writing music at home with a computer, until he decided he needed a band to perform his songs. Gigs were hard to come by. 
Tom and his school friends turned bandmates were always underage, needing supervision or special conditions. His song 'Someone Sued Superman' was directly inspired by his frustrations about that.

The Heave
Crank It Up

Sydney power rock group The Heave show all the signs of going on to Big Things. They recently won the Kool Skools band comp and were awarded the JB HI-FI scholarship, they placed 8th in the MusicOZ Awards 2006 out of thousands of entries, won best song at Jambodia band comp, came third at Autumn Beats-Sony festival, won Eastside band comp and The Hills band comp. 
Significantly, despite being unsigned (so far) their loud brand of metal has also received regular JJJ airplay.
